eco-enzyme.com collects what practical people have learned about fermenting fruit scraps, sugar and water — and tries to say honestly what we don't yet know.
What this site is
A free, open reference. Recipes, history, troubleshooting, and evidence — written to be printed, taped to a jar, and argued with.
What this site is not
- A shop. We don't sell enzyme, kits or subscriptions.
- Medical advice. Nothing here treats, cures or prevents disease.
- A brand. There is no company behind eco enzyme — anyone can make it.
- A single authority. Local practice varies, and that's fine.
How we make claims
Every strong claim on this site should have a source, or be marked as folk practice. Where good evidence doesn't exist, we say so plainly rather than filling the gap with confident guesses.
The jar teaches you more than the internet does. This site is only a starting sketch.
Who runs this
This handbook is kept by a small group of volunteers who make eco enzyme at home — not scientists, not a company. Pages are written, reviewed and corrected in the open, and every correction sent through the contribute form is read by a person.
No sponsors, no affiliate links, no ads. Running costs are paid out of pocket.
Who maintains this
This site is maintained by Yayasan Svarga Bumi Nusantara, an Indonesian non-profit foundation working on waste, composting and community environmental education. Its main website is Go Green Indonesia.
Workshops are run together with Bali Waste Management Training Centre, our partner for hands-on training and company sessions.
