How much of everything.

Enter your container size. Water starts at sixty percent of the container volume — the sugar and scraps take up the rest, and the top twenty percent stays empty for gas.

L

Usable liquid volume: 4.00 L — water is 60% of the container

Water = 60% of container volume. Sugar = water ÷ 10. Scraps = sugar × 3. That is the 1 : 3 : 10 ratio by weight.

Finished enzyme for plants and air: 1 ml eco enzyme to 1000 ml water.

Headspace (20%)

1.00 L

Empty space at the top of the container. This is not wasted volume — it is where the carbon dioxide from the fermentation lives. A batch with no headspace splits its container.

Estimated harvest

2026-10-27

Ninety days from today. Add another two to four weeks if you want a stronger, more amber liquid.

Gas and stir schedule

  • Days 1–14: open the lid once a day to release gas.
  • Days 15–29: once a week is enough.
  • Day 30: stir the batch, push floating scraps back under.
  • Day 90: strain, bottle, rest for a week.
