Why this site exists
There is a lot of writing about eco enzyme online. Most of it is either uncritical enthusiasm or dismissive skepticism. We wanted something in between.
The first thing you notice when you go looking for information about eco enzyme is that almost none of it is neutral. Community pages describe it as a near-miraculous cleaner, fertilizer, disinfectant and air purifier. Skeptical pages describe it as fermented sugar water with a marketing problem. Neither picture is quite right, and neither is very useful if you are standing over an actual jar wondering whether the film on top is normal.
We built this site because we all keep jars on our own shelves. We wanted a handbook we would trust — one that could tell a first-time reader exactly what to put in the container, and could also tell a returning reader honestly which claims about the finished liquid hold up and which do not.
What we're trying to do
- Write down the practical parts — ratios, timing, troubleshooting — clearly enough that a beginner can follow them on the first try.
- Be honest about the evidence. Where the research is thin, we say so. Where a common claim isn't supported, we say so.
- Keep it bilingual. Eco enzyme is a Southeast Asian practice by history and by community, and an English-only site would be a poor version of the resource we wanted.
- Stay non-commercial. Nothing on this site is for sale. There are no ads, no affiliate links, and no sponsored posts.
What we're not trying to do
We are not writing a scientific paper. We are not certifying anyone's method. We are not making medical claims and we will actively push back on claims that cross that line. If you came here hoping we would confirm that eco enzyme cures ailments or repairs the ozone layer, the Science page will disappoint you, and we think it should.
The handbook will grow slowly. Corrections are welcome — we would rather be edited than wrong.
